I began practicing yoga and meditation more than a dozen years ago after major surgery left me with chronic pain. The meditation not only helped me control my pain levels, it left me with a sense of clarity and groundedness that I couldn’t have imagined.
Now with 2 young sons (one with a disability), a husband, and a coaching business, I’ve got a lot of roles to juggle. I’ve continued using meditation and mindfulness techniques in my daily life to reduce stress, get clear on my vision and stay focused on what’s important to me.
It was a natural progression to become a mindfulness coach and begin sharing what I’ve learned with other mom’s of developmentally disabled children who are facing similar stresses and want to explore different ways of being. Getting clear about passions and goals, building confidence and managing emotions are the foundation of my approach. I’ve completed coaching coursework at the ICF Associate level and am currently continuing my studies at the Professional Coach level.
I have had the pleasure of coaching in India and Uganda to empower women and teens to realize their business and personal goals.
